Eric Fricke

Piano 

Eric Fricke is a pianist, organist, vocalist, improviser, and collaborative musician. He has appeared on the national stage as an organist since 2007, with notable appearances at Entertainment Gathering 2008 (later broadcast on TEDTalks) and on NPR’s From The Top.

 

An active collaborative musician, Eric has worked as an accompanist at University of North Carolina Asheville and performed extensively with soloists and ensembles in Western North Carolina, such as the Asheville Symphony Chorus and Asheville Choral Society. In 2025, Eric was the featured musician with Stewart/Owen Contemporary Dance Company in fully improvised music and dance performances.

 

He has taught piano and voice for over 15 years in his private studio and schools, including being the Assistant Director and Accompanist of the multi-time All-State Champion Choir, the St. Michael’s High School Choral Arts Society of Santa Fe, NM. Eric’s piano and voice students have gone on to study at schools such as Manhattan School of Music, Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, and University of North Carolina School for the Arts. They are consistently praised for technical excellence and sensitive musicianship in competitions and performance.

 

Eric holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from St. John’s College of Santa Fe, NM, and a Graduate Certificate in Injury-Preventive Keyboard Technique from Salem College.
