Jake Waldrop
Trumpet Faculty

Jake Waldrop is a local trumpet performer and teacher, native to western North Carolina. Jake earned his undergraduate degree at Western Carolina University where he studied with Brad Ulrich and Larry Black, and his Masters in Music Performance at Oklahoma City University, under the tutelage of Michael Anderson.

Jake frequently performs with the Asheville Jazz Orchestra and substitutes for the Asheville Symphony Orchestra. Jake has also been a member of the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps brass staff since 2023 and participated in the same organization as a member from 2011 to 2012.
