​Peruvian pianist Juan Vizcarra has performed as a recitalist, soloist and collaborative
pianist in the United States, Peru, Canada and Mexico. He is a frequent guest soloist with the
Peru National Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra of The University of Lima and
other major Peruvian orchestras. Significant performances include appearances as guest soloist
for the Anniversary Concert of Filarmonía, the main classical music radio station of Peru, at the
2015 American Liszt Society Festival “Liszt and Damnation”, held at the University of North
Texas, Denton, and as Soloist with Peru National Symphony Orchestra for the Gala Opening
Concert of the Asociación Cultural Teresa Quesada.

Tate Addis

Tate received a Bachelor of Music (piano) degree from Wichita State University, and a Master of Music and Artist’s Certificate (piano) from the University of Missouri – Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Dance under Robert Weirich. While in Kansas City, Tate served as organist at Second Presbyterian Church from 2008-2013. He graduated from Yale University’s School of Sacred Music with a Master’s in Organ Performance.

Brad Curtioff

​Brad Curtioff is one of WNC’s most versatile musical artists. With an early start studying classical music at Peabody Preparatory in Baltimore, MD, he went on to earn a BFA in Piano Performance from West Virginia University.  Brad is the Staff Accompanist at Mars Hill University, Collaborative Pianist with the Asheville Choral Society, and Music Director at St. Paul’s UMC in Asheville. He performs regularly with many WNC performing organizations: Asheville Community Theatre, Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre, Southern Appalachian Chamber Singers, and Asheville Lyric Opera.

Emily Kovar​

Dr. Emily Blandon Kovar is a pianist and educator with a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Georgia (2024). She has been an Adjunct Faculty member at Clemson University, teaching both private lessons and group piano courses. She also has been an Instructor of Piano at Oconee Music in Athens, Georgia, and Keyboard Teaching Assistant at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
  She has performed internationally and has worked with renowned artists such as Anna Polonsky and Da Sol Kim. She holds degrees from Lawrence University (B.M., 2017) and the University of Georgia (M.M., 2020).
